Panda Mail Statuses

Learn all about the statuses of your Panda Mail, and what each status means.

Our system deploys specialized technology to track and provide status for a typically non-trackable mailing type (USPS First Class Mail). If you were to download and send mail on your own without certified tracking, you would not receive ANY mail status, updates, or tracking for this mail type.

The only guaranteed status is "received" and "mailed" Once your mail is in the USPS ecosystem, they may not relay a group back to us to display to you. To guarantee 100% end-to-end mail tracking, please send "Certified" mail.

Below are the Panda Mail statuses.:

Scan Events (In order from top to bottom)

1. Received (Guaranteed) - We have received your mail request, and your mail is being processed
2. Mailed (Guaranteed) - The "Mailed" tracking event is USPS’s confirmation that they have custody of the mail piece. You can utilize this tracking event to monitor a handoff to USPS and provide auditable proof and time of mailing. This tracking event appears at the earliest two business days after sending your mail request. In some instances, it can take longer for the "Mailed" event to become visible, but when surfaces, it will accurately reflect the actual date of mail handoff to the USPS
3. In Transit - The mail piece is being processed at the entry/origin facility.
4. In Local Area - The mail piece is being processed at the destination facility.
5. Processed for Delivery - The mail piece has been green lit for delivery at the recipient's nearest postal facility. The mail piece should reach the mailbox within 1 business day of this tracking event.
6. Delivered - The mail piece has been delivered to the recipient's address. The final scan is generated when the mail carrier's GPS unit leaves the delivery area.
